A historic step has been taken in Bihar towards giving recognition and platform to sports talent. Under the Mukhyamantri Khel Vikas Yojana, a sports building cum gymnasium is being established in every district of the state, which will not only become a hub of sports activities, but will also provide a dedicated and well-equipped space for budding sportspersons.
So far, these sports buildings have been completed in 25 out of 38 districts of the state, while construction work is in progress at a rapid pace in 13 districts. The districts where new buildings are being constructed include Muger, Kaimur, Buxar, Supaul, Begusarai. Each sports building includes the office of the District Sports Officer, an air-conditioned meeting room with 50 seats, and a gymnasium equipped with high-quality gym equipment.

In the coming years, these sports buildings will become a dream land for the players of the state – from where many national and international players will emerge.
