Facing enemies without caring for life
The Kargil war, which lasted from May to July in the year 1999. Winning it was an extraordinary challenge for the Indian Army. But the soldiers fought in extreme altitudes, snowy weather and difficult mountainous terrain. Here the enemy was sitting on high peaks, while the soldiers had to face bullets and cannonballs while climbing from bottom to top. But the brave soldiers did not give up. They faced the enemies without caring about their lives.
Sacrificing their lives for the country
In this war with Pakistan, we lost many of our brave sons, who sacrificed their lives for the honor, pride and glory of the country. Countless heroes like Captain Vikram Batra, Lieutenant Manoj Kumar Pandey, Rifleman Sanjay Kumar and Grenadier Yogendra Singh Yadav created history with their bravery. The martyrdom of soldiers in this war reminds us how precious our freedom and security are.
