Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that the Bihar government is constantly striving for the development of cultural infrastructure in the state. In this episode, providing a special cultural gift to Nalanda district, the construction of Atal Kala Bhavan with a capacity of 620 spectators at a cost of ₹ 1973.26 lakh (₹ 19 crore 73 lakh 26 thousand) has been approved.
In this regard, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that this important cultural center is being provided to Nalanda by the Building Construction Department under the Atal Kala Bhavan construction scheme of the government. This building will be a strong platform for expression for local artists, cultural organizations and the general public.
A major initiative to enrich cultural heritage
The newly constructed Kala Bhavan will promote cultural activities in Nalanda as well as give impetus to regional tourism. Atal Kala Bhavan will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, where stage performances, music, drama, lectures and various cultural events will be possible. This initiative of the government will prove to be an important step towards enriching the historical and cultural heritage of Nalanda.
