A case of death of three patients has come to light due to technical fault in oxygen supply in the Trauma Center of Jalandhar Civil Hospital. However, the hospital administration says that there was a slight decrease in the supply of oxygen, but backup oxygen cylinders were started in no time. One of the patients was admitted to the hospital due to snake bite, the second was admitted to the hospital due to excessive drug consumption, while the third was suffering from tuberculosis. All three were kept on ventilator.
Fault in oxygen plant
Actually, there was a stir in the Trauma Center of Jalandhar Civil Hospital on Sunday when there was a sudden technical fault in the oxygen plant there. Due to this fault, three patients admitted in the ICU died. After the incident, the hospital administration came into action and an investigation into the matter has been started. Senior Medical Officer (SMO) Vinay Anand said that due to technical fault, the oxygen pressure had decreased slightly. Anand said, “But we had enough backup oxygen cylinders, which were started in no time. Apart from this, the technical fault in the main oxygen plant was also fixed at the same time.”
Three patients died
This incident happened late Sunday evening, where three patients died due to a sudden fault in the oxygen plant. The relatives of the patients said that the machine suddenly stopped and after that their relative died. After these deaths, the relatives of the patients are crying and blaming the administration of the Civil Hospital for this. Giving information about this, the doctor of the Trauma Center confirmed the technical fault and said that the oxygen supply was disrupted. After which three patients died.
