Thousands of people empowered
Citing the success stories shared by the beneficiaries on the platform, Chief Minister Yogi emphasized that everyone has one thing in common – the dreams they saw came true through the Mukhyamantri Yuva Yojana. Expressed concern over growing disconnect between educational institutions and society
Addressing the vice-chancellors of universities and youth at the Chief Minister’s Youth Conclave, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed concern over the growing disconnect between educational institutions and society. He said, “Our institutions are becoming isolated islands, and are increasingly cut off from the public and government schemes. This disconnect is dangerous.” Targeted previous governments too
After inaugurating the ‘Yuva Conclave’ here, the Chief Minister said, “There were a large number of MSME units in the state and their clusters already existed around every district and every town, but the previous government could not understand the importance of this sector.” He said, “Those whose thinking was limited only to their families and who insisted on dividing the society to grab power, how can they think about the future of the state’s largest youth population.” Without naming any party, Adityanath alleged that previous governments were part of a conspiracy to close down the state’s MSME industry. He said, “The hooliganism, corruption and dishonesty of the previous government forced people to migrate.”
Mentioned the ‘One District One Product’ scheme
Referring to the initiatives of his government, the Chief Minister said, “After coming to power in the year 2017, we formed a committee and started the ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) scheme. Today, the ODOP scheme has become a brand in the whole country.” On this occasion, he described the ‘CM Yuva Yojana’ being run under the Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign as a medium of ‘journey from self-employment to self-reliance’ for lakhs of youth of the state. According to an official statement, the Chief Minister said that so far, interest-free and unsecured loans of Rs 2,751 crore have been provided to more than 68,000 youth under this scheme.
