Patna: Election Commission has released draft voter list for 243 seats for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, 3 lakh voters were not included in the Bihar draft voter list

Patna: The Election Commission has released the draft voter list for 243 seats for the Bihar assembly elections to be held this year. The Election Commission has also released the data of every district. A list of how many voters were there in which district earlier and how many voters are there now has also been released. After the SIR, the Election Commission says that 3 lakh voters of East Champaran, Madhubani and Gopalganj have not been included in the Bihar draft voter list.

46 lakh 51 thousand 694 voters on 14 seats of Patna

According to the Election Commission, the number of voters in the 14 assembly constituencies of the capital Patna is 46 lakh 51 thousand 694. Earlier, there were 50 lakh 47 thousand 194 voters in the electoral list. Out of the voters, the names of 92.16% voters i.e. 46, 51,694 voters have come in the voter list. The remaining 3,95,500 voters have not been included in the list due to various reasons like death, absence or permanent transfer.

How many people’s names were deleted where

In the electoral state of Bihar, more than 65 lakh counting forms have not been included in the draft voter list prepared by the Election Commission under Special Intensive Revision (SIR), due to which the total number of registered voters has come down from about 7.9 crores to 7.24 crores. According to the Election Commission, the highest number of 3.95 lakh counting forms have not been included in the draft voter list in Patna, while the number of such counting forms in Madhubani is 3.52 lakh, in East Champaran 3.16 lakh and in Gopalganj 3.10 lakh.

Names of 1 lakh 45 thousand 913 voters deleted in Kishanganj

According to the Commission, names of 1 lakh 45 thousand 913 voters have been deleted in Kishanganj. Special camps will be organized to add names. After voter revision (SIR), the names of about 1,45,913 total voters have been included in the list in all the four assembly constituencies of Muslim-dominated Kishanganj district. No. District Officer cum District Election Officer Vishal Raj told that there were a total of 12 lakh 31910 voters in all the four assembly constituencies of the district. In which 10 lakh 86 thousand 242 counting forms were received. While the total number of missing counting forms is 1 lakh 45 thousand 668. This includes voters whose names are dead, migrated, missing or whose name is in two places.

Most names deleted in Kishanganj Assembly

Let us tell you that the names of 49,340 voters have been removed from the voter list in Kishanganj Assembly constituency. At the same time, the names of 29,277 voters have been removed from the voter list in Thakurganj, the least. While 36,574 voters have been removed from Bahadurganj and 30,722 voters have been removed from the voter list in Kochadhaman. In the press release issued by District Officer Vishal Raj, it has been said that the information about the activities after the publication of the draft has been shared with the representatives of various political parties. Whose names have been deleted For those who have been added, a special camp will be organized from 2 August to 1 September 2025 so that their names can be added.
