A 20-year-old woman died mysteriously during a bus journey in Brazil, with dozens of iPhones reportedly found stuck to her body. According to the Daily Mail report, the woman suffered a heart attack on July 29 and 26 iPhones were found stuck to her body. Authorities suspect that the woman was smuggling all these iPhones.
The woman was traveling alone in the bus, was given CPR for 45 minutes
According to passengers, the woman was traveling alone by bus from Foz do Iguassu city in Brazil to Sao Paulo city. During this bus journey, her health deteriorated. When the bus stopped at a restaurant in Guarapawa, Parana, the woman complained of difficulty in breathing. Emergency services were called after the passenger’s complaint. Paramedics treated the woman, but her condition worsened and she suffered a heart attack after that. Despite giving CPR for 45 minutes, when the condition of the woman did not improve, she was declared dead on the spot.
At the same time, when paramedics started treating the woman before her death, they found 26 iPhones stuck to the woman’s body. Apart from this, the officials also recovered several bottles of alcohol from the woman’s belongings.
Parana Civil Police is waiting for forensic report to proceed with the investigation
On the other hand, Parana Civil Police is waiting for forensic report to know the reason behind the woman’s shortness of breath and heart attack. Apart from this, the iPhones found and seized from the woman’s body have been handed over to the Federal Revenue Service of Brazil.
Parana Civil Police said in a statement, “Parana Civil Police is investigating the matter and is waiting for the results of forensic reports to clarify the cause of the woman’s death.”
