Khandwa: A young man was beaten to death on Monday-Tuesday night in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. The accused brother-in-law and brother-in-law first tied the young man with a rope and then beat him with a belt and a wooden stick so much that he became half dead. The young man died shortly after being rescued by his family. The police have arrested both the accused in the murder case related to an illicit relationship.
According to the information, Deviram (35 years) had gone to a woman’s house to meet her at around 3 o’clock on Monday night. The woman’s husband Chandan Lal (name changed) and her brother-in-law Bhagwandin (name changed), who were already waiting there, caught Deviram. Both of them tied him to a tree in the courtyard and beat him brutally for about an hour.
Hearing Deviram’s screams, his mother woke up his elder son Mahendra. Mahendra reached the spot and rescued his brother in a half-dead condition. Deviram died shortly after. Deep wounds of beating with a belt and wooden stick were found on his body. Police said that the deceased and the accused belong to different communities.
He was explained many times but he did not listen
Police investigation revealed that Devi Ram had an illicit relationship with Chandan Lal’s wife. He lived near Devi Ram’s house. Chandan tried to explain to Devi Ram many times, but he did not listen. After this, he called his brother-in-law Bhagwan Deen and told him the whole thing.
Both of them waited for four days
Bhagwan Deen did not believe his brother-in-law’s words, then Chandan asked him to stay here for a few days. After this, both of them waited for four days. Nothing happened for three days, but on the fourth night Devi Ram came to meet the woman.
Devi Ram died after being beaten
Devi Ram reached the woman’s house hiding to meet her. Here, brother-in-law and brother-in-law were already waiting in ambush. As soon as Devi Ram entered the house, they caught him. First there was an argument, after which both of them tied Devi Ram to a tree and beat him fiercely with a belt and wood. Deviram died after being beaten for about two hours. Hearing his screams, his brother Mahendra reached the spot and informed Dial-100 at 4 am on Tuesday.
He was married, used to play dholak in music
It is being told that Deviram’s family consists of his wife and a 12-year-old son. Apart from being a farm labourer, he used to play dholak in the village’s bhajan troupe. This bhajan troupe used to go to people’s houses and play music during happy and sad occasions. In return, the troupe used to get some money as incentive. During this time, Deviram came close to the accused’s wife. She is three-four years older than him. Superintendent of Police Manoj Rai said that both the accused have been arrested on Tuesday. The forensic team and dog squad team have collected evidence by closely inspecting the crime scene.
