Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Vote Rights Yatra’ will start from Sasaram today and will pass through 25 districts of Bihar, the yatra will conclude in Patna on September 1.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will start the ‘Vote Rights Yatra’ in Bihar from today. Rahul Gandhi will start this journey from Sasaram to create public awareness against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Today he will stay overnight in Aurangabad. This 16-day journey will conclude with a rally in Patna on September 1. The ‘Vote Rights Yatra’ will pass through 25 districts of Bihar. There will be holidays on 20, 25 and 31 August. India Block has supported Rahul’s Vote Rights Yatra. Tejashwi Yadav and leaders of Left parties will also join Rahul during this journey.

These people are walking on the path of Kansa: Giriraj

Union Minister Giriraj Singh said on the Vote Rights Yatra of Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, “These people are walking on the path of Kansa. On the occasion of Janmashtami, I will say that Krishna destroyed Kansa. There is some Kansa here too and his destruction is certain on the occasion of Janmashtami.”

The country has to be saved from loss: Pawan Khera

Congress leader Pawan Khera said, “The matter is more than elections. When someone steals the right to vote, what will elections be? The country has to be saved from loss. The poor, backward, tribals, minorities, Dalits of the whole country are all suffering. All our alliance partners are joining the yatra. We will communicate with people throughout the way.”

Vote theft has to be stopped: Alka Lamba

On the Voter Rights Yatra, Congress leader Alka Lamba said, “Rahul Gandhi has given the message from the first day. The vote theft that is happening has to be stopped. The Vote Rights rally has only one purpose, to save the right to vote. Till now the Election Commission was not giving decisions completely under the pressure of the Center. Rahul Gandhi caught fake voters in only one assembly, despite that, instead of accepting the mistake, he is giving clarification. The Election Commission is holding a press conference on the same day when this yatra is starting. The Election Commission knows that this yatra is going to be heavy for them.”

We will fight every battle: Tejashwi Yadav

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, “BJP people are constantly misusing constitutional institutions and efforts are being made to destroy the constitution and democracy. Bihar is the mother of democracy and if BJP destroys democracy from Bihar, we will not sit idle. We will fight every battle. We will not let the voting rights of voters be lost. We are going on a yatra to ensure that every Bihari casts his vote. Rahul Gandhi is coming and Lalu Prasad Yadav will flag off the yatra.”
