A 19-year-old youth died after his head got stuck in the door of a cargo lift in an electronics warehouse in Paschim Vihar area of Delhi. Police gave this information on Saturday. According to the police, the deceased Shiv Kumar was a native of Champaran district of Bihar and had come to Delhi five days ago in search of work. He was working in the warehouse on a monthly salary of Rs 12,000. According to the police, this incident happened on Thursday evening when Shiv Kumar was riding in the cargo lift and his head got stuck in the lift door. He died on the spot.
Police registered a case
The police officer said, “The police have registered a case of death due to negligence in connection with this incident and a detailed investigation is going on. The lift has been sealed and an inquiry has been ordered to find out the flaws.” Police said that the elder brother of the deceased, Rohit, reached Delhi on Friday and received the body after the post-mortem.
