Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attacked the Congress and the Samajwadi Party and said that after the looting by the Mughals and the British, whatever was left was pocketed by both the parties.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday targeted the Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP), saying that whatever was left after the Mughals and the British looted the country, these two parties pocketed it. In his address after inaugurating a new cement plant in Etah, Adityanath said, “This country got independence in 1947. From 1947 to 1960, India was the sixth economy of the world. If we talk about before that, in the 17th and 18th centuries, this country was the number one economy in the world.”

The Chief Minister said, “First the Mughals looted, then the British destroyed and whatever was left after the Mughals and the British was looted by the Congress and the Samajwadi Party. They created an identity crisis in front of the country and the state.” The Chief Minister, while criticizing the previous governments of the Center and the state, targeted the Congress and the SP and accused them of having a ‘narrow mindset’ and creating an atmosphere of anarchy. Adityanath said, “Whether it is Congress or Samajwadi Party, the mentality of both has not been in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.”

CM Yogi said that due to the narrow vision of these parties, these people kept developing only their families. The result was that Uttar Pradesh and the country kept lagging behind, poverty kept increasing, anarchy kept increasing due to their goons. He said, “Neither the businessman was safe, nor the police station nor the daughter was safe during the rule of Congress and SP. Riots had become common.”
