At least four workers were killed on Thursday due to leakage of nitrogen gas at a pharmaceutical company located in Tarapur MIDC of Palghar district of Maharashtra. Two other workers have been seriously affected. Officials gave this information on Thursday. He said that the incident took place in the afternoon at ‘Medley Pharma’ located in the industrial area of Boisar. Boisar is about 130 km from Mumbai. Vivekanand Kadam, head of Palghar District Disaster Management Cell, said that between 2.30 and 3 pm, nitrogen gas leaked in a unit of the company, affecting the employees working there.
Four people died
He said, “Six workers were taken to the hospital where four workers died in the evening.” Kadam said that two others have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a local hospital. Officials said that the deceased have been identified as Kalpesh Raut, Bengali Thakur, Dheeraj Prajapati and Kamlesh Yadav, while Rohan Shinde and Nilesh Hadal are being treated. Gas leakage also happened in Bhopal
