Rajasthan: Many important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting, RIMS will be built on the lines of AIIMS in Jaipur, the cabinet approved the allocation of 1280 hectares of land for setting up a solar power plant, toll will be reduced

A cabinet meeting was held in CMO on Saturday (August 23) under the chairmanship of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. During this, many big decisions were taken towards making the state a developed state. In the meeting, Developed Rajasthan-2047 Vision Document, 2 policies and 3 bills were approved. From reducing toll to 4.3 trillion dollar economy by 2047, the target was set.

After the meeting, Industry Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel held a press conference. During this, he gave information about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting. Minister Patel said that medical and health services will be strengthened in the state. Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) will be built on the lines of AIIMS in Jaipur. Rajasthan Institute of Medical Science Bill will be brought in the next session. A committee will be formed for faculty in the institute.

Decision on clear policy of land allocation in urban areas
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel said that decisions have been taken regarding a clear policy of land allocation in urban areas. The matter of land allocation for public, social and religious purposes, various types of educational institutions, tourism traders, land allocation was discussed. Land allocation policy 2025 has been implemented to ensure fairness in land allocation. Provisions have been made for land allocation to recognized political parties, newspapers, companies. Land will be allocated at 25% of the DLC rate, a new policy will be made by amending the 2015 policy.

Convention center will be built on Tonk Road
A convention center with a capacity of 7000 seats will also be built on Tonk Road in Jaipur at a cost of Rs 3500 crore, this has also been approved in the cabinet. Industry Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said that the convention center will be of world class. Two hotels will be built in it, including a five star hotel and a four star hotel. He said that the work of building the center will be given to the company building Bharat Mandapam, its work will be completed in 36 months.

1280 hectares of land for setting up solar power plant

Along with this, the cabinet has approved the allocation of 1280 hectares of land for setting up solar power plant. This plant will generate 2500 MW of electricity. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said that companies will have to plant five trees in place of every tree cut from the place where the solar plant is to be installed. Where solar plants will be installed, work will have to be done at the local level under schools, hospitals and CSR. Work is going on to make Rajasthan a green energy hub in the country.

Rajasthan Fisheries (Amendment) Bill 2025 also passed

The state government approved the Land Allotment Policy 2025 for various purposes in urban areas. In this, social institutions, educational, medical and industrial units will get land through a transparent and simple process. This policy will replace the Land Allotment Policy 2015. Rajasthan Fisheries (Amendment) Bill 2025 was also passed to prevent fisheries crimes, which provides for increasing the amount of fine to Rs 25,000 and up to Rs 50,000 on repeat offence. Unnecessary killing of fish will be banned.

Approval to amendment in State Highway Fee Rules

In the meeting, amendment to Rajasthan State Highway Fee Rules was approved so that the fee rates of the expressway are in line with the notification of the Central Government. Factory (Rajasthan Amendment) Bill 2025 was also approved. It provides for increasing the working hours of workers to 12 hours, allowing women to work in night shifts with safety conditions and written consent.
