Madhya Pradesh: Investment proposals worth Rs 56,414 crore received at ‘Madhya Pradesh Mining Conclave 2.0’ held in Katni, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav expressed commitment to promote mineral-based industries.

Madhya Pradesh received investment proposals worth Rs 56,414 crore in minerals on Saturday. On one hand, this investment will strengthen the economic condition of the state, on the other hand, youth, women and the poor will get employment. In fact, ‘Madhya Pradesh Mining Conclave 2.0’ was organized in Katni. More than 2 thousand participants participated in it. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has a distinct identity in the country in terms of minerals. Our government has started the Industry Conclave to promote mineral-based industries in the state. We have been continuously working in this direction since the formation of the government. Till now we were organizing Industrial Conclave at the divisional level, in future we will organize such programs at the district level according to the nature of the district.

He said that in the conclave, the state government signed an MoU with Coal India Limited for exploration, processing and promotion of critical minerals. The government also signed an MoU with Dhanbad’s Texmin ISM in view of the use of Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Blockchain, Remote Sensing in the mining sector. Similarly, the state government also signed MoUs with the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal for mineral exploration research.

After the conclave, CM Dr. Yadav told the media that the Mineral Resources Department organized the “Madhya Pradesh Mining Conclave Katni” today. This event is an important initiative for the development of the district and the state. In this event, investors have given investment proposals of Rs 56 thousand 414 crore in the mining sector. This event is a successful event to know the new possibilities of minerals in the state. A platform was provided to make all entrepreneurs aware of modern technology in mineral exploration and prospecting. This event was successful in creating an effective environment for coordination between mining entrepreneurs, reputed mining institutions, mining experts, public sector undertakings of the Government of India in the mining sector and the state government.

Katni is famous for minerals

CM Dr Mohan Yadav said that Katni district is famous for exploitation of various minerals and mineral based industries. Mineral entrepreneurs of the state participated in this event. This has given a new platform to the mineral wealth available in Katni district in the state. Various industries based on limestone based cement industry, putty plant made from dolomite, marble, fireproof bricks made from clay and bauxite mineral are established in this area. There are abundant possibilities for more industrial units in the future.

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a visionary leader. He created a scenario of development from Gujarat. He improved the lives of farmers, youth and women, we all know the development model of Gujarat. Ratan Tata dreamt of a lakh-rupee car. His excellent thinking was that if a family which is going on a bike gets a car for the same amount, then the whole family will be safe. We also have a similar thinking. Our culture is of live and let live. Today business has become important. Business is being talked about everywhere. The British Empire also came here to do business.

He said that the British took advantage of our innocence and made us slaves, but today India’s name has been elevated under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Enterprising people are constantly moving forward. Large scale employment opportunities are available through industries. Youth, especially women, get a lot of help in running the house. Therefore, as soon as the government was formed, we decided that industrialization will be strengthened. There is no shortage of anything in Madhya Pradesh. There is sufficient land bank, there is electricity, there are good roads for commuting. Air cargo is also going to be built here in the coming days.

MoU between them

Principal Secretary, Mineral Resources Department, Umakant Umrao said that the land of Madhya Pradesh also spews gold along with diamonds. The state is the only state in the country where all kinds of minerals are available. The state is the largest mining of mineral wealth in the country. Come to Madhya Pradesh, the heart of the country, here you will find a lot more than gold and diamonds.

Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department, Raghavendra Kumar Singh said that Madhya Pradesh has more than 1 lakh acres of landbank. There is electricity surplus here, 20 percent of which comes from green energy. We will include 50 percent green energy in the energy basket by 2030.

MD Kaushik Bose of Mineware Advisor said that our company does mechanized mining. We have proposed an investment of Rs 450 crore in the state. We thank the state government.

Who all participated in the conclave?

More than 2 thousand participants participated in this event. These included subject experts, mineral entrepreneurs, investors and Government of India institutions Coal India Limited, Manganese Ore India Limited, Hindustan Copper Limited, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Texmin ISM. Investors showed interest in investing in mining and mineral based industries in future.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav held one-to-one meetings with Saurabh Jain of Singhal Business, Govind A Shorewala of Vinmeer Resources, Harsh Trivedi-Nishchal Trivedi of Ramnik Power and Alloys, Kaushik Bose of Mineware Advisor, Sanjeev Kumar Singh of Hindustan Copper Limited, Mayank Guglia of Mahakaushal Refractories. Apart from this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had a virtual dialogue with Rajiv Mundra (Kolkata), JP Agarwal (from Sri Lanka), Vivek Bhatia (Delhi), V. Sairam (Cochin), Thomas Cherian (Hyderabad) regarding their investment plans and experience.

The industrialists thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and said that we are able to set up units in the state in one to one and a half years. This is not possible in any other state. Vivek Bhatia said that Madhya Pradesh is being seen in a completely different way in India. More than 100 mining companies associated with CII are seeing great possibilities in the mining sector of Madhya Pradesh. Various activities are being conducted at other places including Bina Refineries. Many international companies want to increase investment in the state. V. Sairam said that our company is producing 18 percent of the coal of Coal India. Singrauli is a big center of coal production. On the strength of the industry-oriented policies of the Central and State Government, we have got forest clearance in just 55 days. Thomas Cherian said that critical minerals are important for the country and it is available in abundance in Madhya Pradesh, Aditya Birla Group is ready to work with the government.
