Patna: An unknown vehicle hit five people of the same family who were going to defecate in Jamunichak village of Barh police station area of Patna. Four people died on the spot due to the collision while a woman is in critical condition. The injured have been admitted to PMCH. The deceased include two women and two girls.
Crushed by a high speed Thar
According to the information, an unknown vehicle ran over 5 people on Monday night at Jamunichak of Gulabbag Saksohra two lane of Barh police station of Barh subdivision adjoining Patna district. Four people died on the spot in the accident. Local people told that the deceased Sudha Devi and her two granddaughters along with a neighbor were going to defecate at night. During this time, a high speed Thar vehicle ran over everyone and fled.
Villagers set fire and blocked the road
On getting information about the incident, the entire village came out on the road and blocked the road by setting fire at many places on the road. Seeing the situation worsening, police from several police stations were called on the spot. After the incident, there was screaming and anger all around. Seeing the situation worsening, SDM Chandan Kumar and ASP Rakesh Kumar reached the spot. Both the officers kept explaining to the people till late night but the road jam was not removed. People ended the jam around 2 o’clock in the night. Meanwhile, the vehicles stuck on the four lane were taken out through Athmalgola Barh city. Till late night, people are still refusing to get the post-mortem of the dead body done. While on the other hand people were also demanding compensation. Till late night, the officers and policemen somehow pacified the people by convincing them.

4. Sudha Devi age 35 years husband Sudhir Paswan
5. Jyoti Kumari age 22 years wife Gonu Paswan, who is seriously injured and has been referred to Patna PMCH
