In East Delhi, a man poured petrol on his father-in-law and set him on fire

A very horrific crime has come to light in the national capital Delhi. Here, in a domestic dispute, a young man set his father-in-law on fire and killed him. The police gave information about this incident on Monday and told that the 32-year-old man accused in the case has been arrested. Let us know about this incident in detail.

What is the whole matter?

According to the information, the deceased has been identified as Ranveer Singh (60). He used to drive an autorickshaw. This crime took place in the Gharoli Extension area on the morning of August 16. Police said that “Gazipur police station received a PCR call in which it was told that a relative had set the caller’s father on fire by pouring petrol on him. The victim was taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital and later transferred to Safdarjung Hospital.” However, Ranveer Singh died on August 24.

Why and how did the accused commit the crime?

A day before the incident, deceased Ranveer’s daughter Nisha had returned to her maternal home after a quarrel with her husband Sandeep. The deceased Ranveer Singh had given a statement before his death that his daughter was married to Sandeep 8 years ago. Sandeep was an alcoholic and used to harass his daughter. A day before the incident, deceased Ranveer’s daughter Nisha had returned to her maternal home after a quarrel with her husband Sandeep. Sandeep came home on the morning of the 16th and started demanding to take his wife back. When Ranveer Singh refused to send his daughter back, the accused allegedly poured petrol on him and set him on fire with a lighter.

How was the accused caught?

According to the police- “The accused was absconding and had broken his phone to avoid being caught. He was traced with the help of technical surveillance and local informers. On August 19, the accused was arrested based on information received from his former workplace. He earlier worked as a gardener in a private school in Ghaziabad.”
