Ganesh Utsav has taken over Maharashtra. Ganpati Bappa has left to be seated in different pandals. Like every year, this year too, a huge crowd of people is seen in Ganesh Utsav, due to which Nagpur Police is being very cautious. Nagpur Police has asked Ganesh Mandals to install CCTV in their respective pandals, so that the people coming to the pandals can be identified. Also, in case of any untoward incident, the accused can be identified. This year too, Nagpur Police has given permission to about one thousand mandals, big and small, to install Ganesha. Nagpur Police is also using drones to monitor the crowd of people in this Ganesh Utsav.
How many policemen will be deployed?
Nagpur residents have made strong preparations for the arrival of Bappa. Idols have started arriving in big pandals. Along with the mandals, Ganpati has also started arriving in every house. 3500 policemen have been deployed on the arrival of Bappa. Apart from this, two companies of SRPF and 1300 home guards will also assist in the arrangements. About 1400 Ganesh Mandals have registered.
Metal detectors will also be installed
All Ganesh Mandals will be regularly checked by BDDS. Organizing big pandals, exhibitions have been asked to arrange for private security guards and volunteers. Metal detectors will also be installed here. The police have also held a meeting with DJ operators. Everyone will have to follow the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court.
Police told the benefits of CCTV
Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravindra Singal has said that CCTV has many benefits. This will also tell whether criminals are coming to the pandals or not. Along with this, surveillance vehicles will be used and drones will also be used to keep watch.
