The Bhajanlal government of Rajasthan is continuously taking big decisions. Meanwhile, once again a big decision of the Bhajanlal cabinet has come to the fore. The Rajasthan government is going to make changes in the bill brought regarding the prohibition of religious conversion. In this, strict provisions are also being considered on matters like love jihad. Apart from this, provision of life imprisonment will also be brought. At the same time, there will be a provision to impose a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh. At the same time, after the conversion of religion, the magistrate will also have to be informed, such a provision will be brought by the government in this bill.
Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Bill- 2025
It was decided in the meeting that the Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Bill- 2025 will be brought in the Legislative Assembly. After this bill becomes a law, no person or institution will be able to convert religion by using misrepresentation, fraud, force, undue influence etc. on any person. If any person or institution does such an act, they will be given severe punishment. If a person marries only for the purpose of converting someone’s religion illegally, then such marriage will be void. Offences under this law will be non-bailable and cognizable.
Free electricity up to 150 units
In the cabinet and council of ministers meeting held in the Chief Minister’s office under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, it was decided that PM Suryaghar 150 unit free electricity scheme will be implemented in the state soon. This will provide 150 units of free electricity per month to 1.04 crore registered consumers. Under this scheme, free solar panels of 1.1 kW capacity will be installed on the roofs of the houses of 27 lakh beneficiary families with an average monthly consumption of more than 150 units. 11 lakh beneficiary families with an average monthly consumption of less than 150 units, who have a roof available on the roof of their house to install free roof top solar plants, will be installed free solar plants of 1.1 kW capacity. For the remaining consumers who do not have a roof available to install roof top plants, discoms will install community solar plants. Discoms will give Rs 1100 each to the first 10 lakh consumers.
Two lakh street lights will be installed
In the meeting, it was decided to install 2 lakh street lights instead of 1 lakh in urban bodies. Let us tell you that the announcement of installing one lakh LED street lights was made in the budget of the year 2025-26. In view of the increase in the number of urban bodies from 282 to 312 and the need to install new lights in place of old lights in many urban bodies, now 2 lakh street lights will be installed instead of one lakh lights. An estimated expenditure of Rs 160 crore will be incurred on this.
4724 recruitments in colleges
In the meeting, it was decided to make 4724 recruitments in Raj Cess colleges. There will be recruitments on 4724 academic and non-academic contractual posts in 374 colleges run under Rajasthan College Education Society (Raj Cess). NET/SLET/SET/PhD candidates will be recruited for 3,540 academic posts as per UGC norms. The service period of the personnel will be 5 years.
Control over pollution
In the meeting, amendment in the Sewerage and Waste Water Policy-2016 has been approved to prevent environmental pollution and health related side effects caused by polluted water. In accordance with the concept of Swachh Bharat Mission, all houses will be connected to a well-organized sewerage system. Through the amended policy, sewerage system will be established in all the urban bodies of the state and its effective use and reuse of water, fertilizer, gas etc. obtained after sewage treatment will be ensured by working on the principle of circular economy.
