The statue of Meenatai Thackeray is located at the main entrance of Shivaji Park. Upon learning of the incident, Shiv Sena members have begun gathering near the statue. Police security has also been increased near the statue. Although the paint was quickly cleaned, some traces of paint can be seen on the ground.

Local Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Mahesh Sawant said, “Red oil paint was thrown on the statue of Maa Saheb. As soon as I learned about this, I immediately sent my team and asked them to clean the paint with thinner. It is suspected that this incident occurred in the morning.”
Mahesh Sawant said, “We don’t know why the red paint was thrown, but we had protested against the India-Pakistan match. Women Shiv Sainiks had sent vermillion to the government. Whether this paint was thrown because of this should be investigated.”
Shiv Sainiks are present at the scene and are angry about this incident. They are demanding the arrest of the unknown person who threw the paint. Red marks are still visible around the statue of Meena Thackeray.
