New Delhi: BJP leader and lawyer Gaurav Bhatia has approached the Delhi High Court regarding a video of him and objectionable posts made on social media that went viral. Bhatia claims that objectionable content is being used against him on social media.

What is the whole matter?

A video of BJP leader and senior lawyer Gaurav Bhatia from a TV debate went viral on social media. In the video, he was seen logging in from home and wearing shorts under a kurta. However, the camera angle at the time led to Gaurav being mocked on social media and several objectionable posts with sarcasm.

Gaurav Bhatia says that these posts are hurting his dignity. Some of the posts even included abusive language and comments about his private parts. He has appealed to the Delhi High Court to have all such posts removed immediately.

What did Justice Amit Bansal say during the hearing?

During the hearing, Justice Amit Bansal clearly stated, “Posts containing objectionable content will be ordered to be removed. However, posts that are merely satirical or humorous will not be removed. The Delhi High Court will pass an order in this matter on Thursday.”

Gaurav remains in the news for his statements
Gaurav Bhatia is a BJP leader and lawyer and is often in the news for his statements. He strongly supports the BJP in TV debates and sharply targets opposition leaders. He has made numerous statements against Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav that have generated considerable discussion.

He had said about Rahul Gandhi that he is running a shop of lies, not a shop of love. Gaurav had taunted Rahul by saying, “I spread chaos everywhere, that’s why I am called Rahul.”

Gaurav Bhatia had said about Akhilesh Yadav that Akhilesh has been the worst Chief Minister. It should be noted that before joining the BJP, Gaurav Bhatia was with the Samajwadi Party (SP) and strongly supported the party there.
