Akhil Bharatiya Janata Party (AJP) National President Swami Prasad Maurya has launched a scathing attack on the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh over the Bareilly violence. He described the bulldozer action on Muslim homes in Bareilly as malicious and one-sided, calling it part of a conspiracy by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Swami Prasad Maurya said that issues like Hindu-Muslim, mosque-temple are being deliberately kept alive to divert attention from the government’s failures. Due to the government’s wrong policies, law and order has completely collapsed in the state. Criminals are roaming freely while the police are busy harassing ordinary citizens.
Crime is at its peak in Uttar Pradesh. The government is protecting a particular section, leading to increased divisions in society based on religion and caste. The Bareilly incident is a clear example of this, where the administration acted under political pressure rather than impartiality.
Maurya raises questions about the attack on the house of an SP MP
Former minister Swami Prasad Maurya, referring to the attack on the house of Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ramji Lal Suman, questioned why people from a particular caste attacked Ramji Lal Suman’s house, but why no action was taken against them? Is the bulldozer only for one community?
Citing the incidents in Fatehpur and Bahraich, he said that Hindu organizations openly created a ruckus, damaged public property, and created a riot-like situation, but the bulldozer was not used there. I believe that the law should be equal for all and fair action should be taken against the criminals.
Maurya further said that if the government does not abandon its one-sided approach, the public will respond. Maurya asked, “To what extent is it justified to run bulldozers on the houses of Muslims in Bareilly, when such action was not taken in other incidents?”
Maurya expressed concern over the country’s economic situation
Swami Prasad Maurya also expressed concern about the country’s economic situation. He said the government has forced 800 million people out of a population of 1.4 billion to struggle for 5-10 kilograms of rice.
Inflation is skyrocketing, farmers are not receiving the minimum support price (MSP) for their crops, and the lives of the common people have become miserable. The government’s faulty policies are spreading chaos in the country. By dividing society and fueling religious issues, the government is trying to hide its failures.
