Delhi Government’s Cooperation Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh announced that new branches will be opened in Delhi to give new energy and direction to the cooperative movement.

Delhi Government’s Cooperation Minister, Ravinder Indraj Singh, stated that the cooperative movement will be given new energy and direction. He announced that all officers and employees, including the Minister of the Cooperative Department, will open accounts in cooperative banks to set a strong example of trust and participation in cooperative banks. He also provided information about the events associated with Cooperative Week next month.

Ravindra Indraj attended the annual general meeting of the Delhi Nagrik Cooperative Bank as the chief guest on Sunday. On this occasion, he congratulated the bank’s chairman, board of directors, and members, stating that cooperation is not just an economic structure, but a lifeline of social unity and participation.

Pledge to Build a Developed Delhi
Through this, the Delhi government, under the leadership of Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, will achieve the goal of Antyodaya and fulfill its commitment to building a self-reliant India and a developed Delhi. The Cooperation Minister stated that over the past few months, he has held detailed meetings with the chairmen and directors of Delhi’s 12 major cooperative banks. These meetings discussed topics such as consumer services and necessary improvements.

New branches of cooperative banks will be opened in Delhi
He said that new branches of cooperative banks will be opened in various areas of Delhi to provide better local financial services to the common citizens. Priority will be given to branch expansion, especially in rural and resettlement colonies. Minister Ravindra Indraj said that Cooperative Week will be celebrated from November 14th to 20th. On this occasion, the largest blood donation camp ever held in Delhi will be organized through cooperative institutions.

Our goal is to provide opportunities to every section of society
He said that this week will symbolize strengthening the spirit of prosperity through cooperation, in which all banks, housing societies, credit unions, and self-help groups will actively participate. The Minister said that cooperation does not mean merely running an institution, but providing opportunities to every section of society, and this is our goal.

The Cooperation Minister informed that a grand statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh will be installed in the historic premises of the RCS office next year. He said that linking the spirit of cooperation with the ideals of patriotism and service will be a true tribute to him.

Plans to open new cooperative stores
The Cooperation Minister stated that there are plans to open new cooperative stores in Delhi, which will sell organic products and other goods made by self-help groups. These stores will provide a direct market for local producers and women, promoting employment generation and economic self-reliance.
