Breaking News

Maharashtra politics is currently abuzz with rhetoric surrounding the Congress, BJP, and MNS, with the Congress preparing to fight alone.

The Maharashtra Congress party on Monday clarified that it has not yet formed any plans to form an alliance with Raj Thackeray’s party in the upcoming local self-government elections. Earlier, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut had said that Raj Thackeray wants the Congress party to be in alliance with him. In stark contrast, the Congress party has clearly stated that it is not in the mood to form an alliance with Raj Thackeray at this time.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis held a meeting of party officials in Amravati and stated that the Mahayuti alliance will be formed only after consultation with local district-level leaders. Overall, the political situation in Maharashtra is heating up regarding the alliance.

No alliance with MNS
Maharashtra Congress in-charge Ramesh Chennithala has clarified that the Congress will not form an alliance with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) for the time being and will contest the upcoming local body elections on its own. Chennithala stated that there is no discussion within the Congress party about including Raj Thackeray’s party in the MVA or allying with them. “We are not forming any alliance at this time.” It’s difficult to predict what the future holds, but at this time, there are no plans for an alliance with the MNS.

He further stated that there are many differences within the MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi), and Congress workers want the party to contest the elections independently. They have been given the freedom to make decisions at the local level. Any suggestions received will be sent to the high command, and the final decision will be made there.

Program to Meet the State Election Commissioner
Chennithala also clarified that the various parties’ planned meeting with the State Election Commissioner on Tuesday is not part of any political alliance. It is merely a multi-party delegation meeting to address the issue of vote theft. He attacked the state government, alleging corruption in the Ladli Behen Scheme, tribal funds, and farmer relief package. He alleged that the government defrauded the Ladli Behens, diverted tribal funds, and the farmer relief package has failed.

BJP holds review meeting in Amravati
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, after the BJP’s election review meeting, said that the entire machinery is ready for the upcoming elections. The state president has organized meetings based on the election campaign. Where alliances are possible, we will form alliances, and where they are not, we will contest independently. Fadnavis said that party workers have been instructed not to criticize allies if alliances are not formed.

He expressed confidence that the Mahayuti (BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP) will achieve resounding success in the upcoming elections. On the question of contesting elections independently, Fadnavis said that every party worker wants the party to contest the elections independently, but we have to make decisions based on the circumstances.

CM Fadnavis’s jibe at Sanjay Raut
When reporters asked CM Fadnavis about Sanjay Raut’s statement that Congress is considering joining forces with Raj Thackeray, he laughed and replied, “Who is Sanjay Raut?” He then refrained from making any further comments.

What did UBT MP Sanjay Raut say?
Amidst discussions about MNS chief Raj Thackeray softening his stance on Congress in the MVA, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) leader Sanjay Raut has made a significant statement. He said that Raj Thackeray himself wishes for Congress to remain in the MVA. This is his stance, not a decision. Every leader in Maharashtra has a role to play—like Balasaheb, Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, and Raj Thackeray, Congress is also an important party in the state. Sanjay Raut also stated that Raj Thackeray will be part of the delegation meeting the state’s Chief Election Commissioner today, so raising this question is pointless.
