MP: A major road accident occurred in Ratankhedi village near Indore when a tractor-trolley carrying villagers returning from their fields overturned. Three people died on the spot and 25 were injured.

A horrific road accident occurred on Monday in a village about 40 kilometers from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. A tractor-trolley carrying villagers returning from their soybean harvest suddenly went out of control and overturned. Three people died on the spot, while several others were injured. The condition of many of the injured is reported to be critical. An atmosphere of grief has gripped the area since the accident.

The accident occurred in Ratankhedi village, within the Chandravati Ganj police station area of ​​the district. According to reports, villagers were returning from their fields when the tractor lost control at a turn near Ratankhedi, and the trolley overturned. The people inside were crushed. Locals immediately began rescue operations and informed the police.

Three people died in the accident.

Chandravati Ganj police arrived at the scene and rescued the injured and transported them to Sanwer and Indore’s Arvindo Hospital. Fourteen-year-olds Arpita, Janibai, and Kamalabai died in the accident. Around 18 people are seriously injured and are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Indore Collector Shivam Verma immediately rushed to Aurobindo Hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured. He stated that the tragic accident occurred due to a tractor-trolley overturning. Three people on the trolley have died, while the injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Collector Issues Instructions
The Collector has instructed administrative officials to ensure no negligence is shown in the treatment of the injured. He also stated that the exact cause of the accident is being investigated. Initial investigations indicate the tractor driver’s negligence and speeding on a curve as the cause of the accident.

Minister Expresses Grief
State Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat also expressed deep condolences over the accident. He released a video stating, “This is a very tragic accident. The government stands with the injured. The Madhya Pradesh government will bear the entire cost of their treatment.”

He also announced that the families of the deceased will receive financial assistance of Rs. 4 lakh each. Currently, the entire area is mourning the accident. The administration has assured all possible assistance to the affected families. The police have registered a case regarding the incident and started investigation.
