Madhya Pradesh: Three ABVP workers, including the city minister, have been accused of taking photos and videos of students at the government college in Bhanpura, Mandsaur district.

A shameful incident involving female students occurred at the Government College in Bhanpura, Mandsaur district, Madhya Pradesh. Three activists, including the city minister of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), have been accused of photographing and videotaping female students while they were changing clothes during a youth festival. The students filed a complaint with the principal. Following an investigation by the college administration and police action, three students were arrested, while one suspect remains at large.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at the Government College, Bhanpura. During the youth festival, some activists, including the city minister of the ABVP, were photographing and videotaping female students through the window of room number 10, where they were changing clothes.

CCTV footage reveals the incident
When the students became aware of this, they immediately complained to the acting principal. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the acting principal had the CCTV footage checked. The footage captured the suspicious actions of the young men. The footage clearly shows a young man standing on the shoulder of another young man and taking videos and photos with his mobile phone.

Three accused arrested, one absconding
After the CCTV footage surfaced, the acting principal filed a written complaint with the Bhanpura police. Police took immediate action and arrested three students. The arrested accused include ABVP city minister Umesh Joshi, co-college principal Ajay Gaur, and an activist, Himanshu Bairagi. However, another activist remains at large.

The police have registered a case against the arrested accused under sections of disturbing peace. As per legal procedures, they were produced in court, from where they were sent to the Garoth sub-jail. Police are searching for the absconding accused and the investigation is ongoing.
