Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who is campaigning for the Bihar Assembly elections, addressed a large public meeting in the Hayaghat Assembly constituency of Darbhanga district on Wednesday (October 29, 2025). The meeting was held in the premises of Ramsharan Laxminarayan College in Nimethi village of Baheri block, where Rajnath Singh campaigned in support of BJP candidate Ramchandra Prasad. During the meeting, he launched a scathing attack on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Tejashwi Yadav.
“The promise of a job for every household is a lie and a deception.” The Defense Minister said that Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of “one job for every household” is simply a deception. He said, “It is impossible to provide jobs to 28 million people. Power cannot be gained by lying to the public. Our government is striving to connect every household with work and employment.” Rajnath Singh also said that the BJP practices politics of action, not promises to the public, while the opposition is only showing false dreams.
Tough stance on terrorism and Pakistan
In his speech, Rajnath Singh also raised the issue of terrorism and Pakistan. He said, “After the Pulwama attack, our army gave a befitting reply to the enemy. We killed countless terrorists, but not a single innocent Pakistani citizen. This is our policy of justice and humanity.” He stressed that the BJP’s politics is based on justice and humanity, not casteism.
“The double-engine government deserves credit for Bihar’s development.”
The Defense Minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the development taking place in Bihar. He said, “The double-engine government of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has put Bihar on the path of development. There has been unprecedented change in the areas of roads, electricity, education, and employment.”
