The NDA will release its manifesto for the Bihar Assembly elections today at 9:30 am. Almost all leaders of the NDA constituent parties will be present. A meeting of the Manifesto Committee was held in Patna recently. The issues and promises in the manifesto were finalized at this meeting. The manifesto incorporates key points from the manifestos of all NDA allies.
The NDA manifesto may emphasize the development of Bihar as an educational and industrial hub. Several major schemes to provide employment to the youth may be announced. Elections for Bihar’s 243 seats will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. Results will be declared on November 14. The BJP and JDU are contesting 101 seats each. Chirag Paswan is contesting 29, and the HAM and Rashtriya Lok Dal are contesting 6 seats each.
Grand Alliance’s manifesto, “Tejasvi Pranab,” released
The Grand Alliance released its joint manifesto for the Bihar Assembly elections on October 28. The Grand Alliance’s manifesto is full of promises. Along with providing government jobs within 20 days, several other promises have been made. It states that all Jeevika Didis will be made permanent and given government job status. Their salary will also be increased to ₹30,000 per month.
Upon releasing the manifesto, Grand Alliance Chief Ministerial candidate and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, “We not only want to form a government, but also work to build Bihar.” Meanwhile, VIP Chief and Grand Alliance Deputy Chief Ministerial candidate Mukesh Sahni stated, “For the next 30-35 years, we want to live among the people of Bihar and serve them. We will fulfill every pledge we have made today.”
