Major negligence has been revealed in the Lalitpur District Jail in Uttar Pradesh. During a search of undertrial Gyanend Dhaka, son of Krishnapal, a keypad mobile phone was recovered from his clothes. Considering the seriousness of the matter, DG Prisons PC Meena has taken action against those responsible. Taking swift action, the prison administration has suspended three people, including the jailer.
According to reports, a search operation was conducted in the Lalitpur District Jail, following which a keypad mobile phone was recovered from the prisoner’s clothes. Deputy Commissioner of Prisons PC Meena has taken strict action. He directed immediate action in the matter. During the investigation, the jail warder and two others were found guilty, and strict departmental action has been taken against them. This action caused a stir in the district jail. The DC stated that if anyone else is found guilty, action will be taken against them as well.
Three Charges Taken
The DIG, Kanpur Range Prisons, has been assigned the responsibility to investigate the matter. The investigation revealed negligence on the part of Jailer Jeevan Singh, Deputy Jailer Prince Babu, and Jail Warder Akash Kushwaha. Action has been taken against all three for negligence in the line of duty. The investigation found that the mobile phone was in the hands of the inmate due to the negligence of the officers, which prompted action. No one is allowed to be negligent while on duty.
DG Jail Suspends
The DG Jail suspended the three and ordered disciplinary action against them. This move sends a message of transparency and vigilance in the prison administration. The prison administration also clarified that if such negligence is found in the future, strict action will be taken against the culprits. Furthermore, stricter surveillance will be increased in prisons to prevent such incidents.
