Assembly Elections 2027: In Mahoba, the country’s renowned women’s organization, Gulabi Gang, has launched a public awareness campaign on the issue of vote theft, raising awareness through songs in Bundeli dialect.

Ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Gulabi Gang, a renowned women’s organization, has launched a public awareness campaign in Mahoba on the issue of vote theft. Led by National Commander Sampatpal and Bundelkhand Commander Farida Begum, women have set up village meetings in Bundelkhand to raise awareness about vote-stealing and security. The Gulabi Gang has warned that if votes are stolen, they will take to the streets to protest.

Gulabi Gang’s National Commander Sampatpal and Bundelkhand Commander Farida Begum launched this campaign in Bamhori Beldaran village in Charkhari tehsil of Mahoba district. The Gulabi Gang says that the opposition’s allegations of vote-stealing against the BJP government are serious and the public should be aware of this. To this end, the Gulabi Gang is organizing village meetings and training women to monitor and protect their votes during the election.

Will raise awareness through songs in Bundeli dialect
Sampatpal said that while the opposition is raising the issue of vote theft, the public also has the right to know the truth. If this does not happen, then the Election Commission and the ruling party should respond. He said that the Gulabi Gang will now raise this issue as a mass movement. Women will work to educate the public through Bundeli songs and Chaupals. Women associated with the gang have been trained for this.

Gulabi Gang will monitor booths
Sampatpal said that we have no affiliation with any political party. We are speaking for the public. If there is any tampering with votes in the upcoming elections, the Gulabi Gang will personally monitor the booths. A large number of women wearing pink sarees and carrying sticks were present during the event. They raised their voice against vote theft by raising slogans.

Preparations to take Rahul Gandhi’s slogan to the public
Meanwhile, Farida Begum, Bundelkhand commander of the Gulabi Gang, said that the women of the Gulabi Gang are being tasked with vote security and public awareness. “We are taking Rahul Gandhi and other opposition parties’ slogans like ‘Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod’ to the public. The Gulabi Gang will now take to the streets to protest injustice against the poor and women.”

However, the Gulabi Gang clarified that it will work not for any party, but to protect the rights of the people. This campaign will be launched in all districts of Bundelkhand in the coming months.
