The official website of Al-Falah University in Faridabad, Haryana, was hacked. Upon opening the website, a threatening message appeared on the screen, calling for the university’s closure and sending those involved in Islamic jihad to Pakistan. However, the website was restored a few hours later.
The hackers’ threatening message
The website read, “There is no place for such an Islamic university on Indian soil. If you want to live in India, you must do so peacefully; otherwise, those involved in Islamic jihad should leave India and go to Pakistan. Consider this a warning, as we are monitoring your anti-national activities. Stop it, or we will destroy you.”

Connection to Terror Module
The university has been in the headlines for the past few days. Faridabad police busted a terror module there. Police have questioned faculty members teaching at the university, some students, and the principal of the medical college.
The biggest suspect is Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, who worked at Al-Falah Hospital and Research Center. A large quantity of ammonium nitrate, used in making explosives, was recovered from his room. Another doctor is suspected of being a suicide bomber. Jammu and Kashmir Police is also interrogating Dr. Muzammil.

Twelve people were killed in a car bomb explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi. Investigations have revealed links to the arrested doctors from Al-Falah University.
Initial investigations have revealed the involvement of Jaish-e-Mohammed. The central government has handed over the entire case to the NIA. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has issued strict instructions to apprehend the culprits soon.
Al-Falah University is now under the radar of police and intelligence agencies. The entire institution has been embroiled in controversy due to the doctors at the medical college and hospital. Al-Falah University was granted university status in 2014. It is managed by the Al-Falah Charitable Trust. The campus is spread over 70 acres of land in the Dhauj area of Faridabad. It offers various courses, including engineering, medical, and management.
