The farmers’ march will leave for Delhi from the Shambhu border of Punjab-Haryana at 10 am. The Rajpura-Ambala highway will remain closed for traffic movement from 7 am to 6 pm on November 14.

The Qaumi Insaaf Morcha and various farmers’ unions from Punjab will march to Delhi from the Shambhu border on Friday. Members of the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha and farmers’ organizations will gather at the Shambhu border by 10 a.m. and then depart for Delhi.

The Qaumi Insaaf Morcha will march to Delhi to demand the release of Sikh prisoners who are still in jail despite serving sentences for various terrorist incidents. Punjab farmers’ organizations have decided to support this march. As scheduled, the march will depart for Delhi from the Shambhu border of Punjab and Haryana at 10 a.m. sharp.

Rajpura-Ambala Highway to Remain Closed Throughout the Day
Police have issued a traffic diversion plan stating that the Rajpura-Ambala Highway will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on November 14th. Vehicles traveling from Ludhiana to Ambala will have to travel from Rajpura via Banur, Zirakpur, and Derabassi to reach Ambala. Vehicles heading from Ambala to Ludhiana will also have to take the same route. Vehicles heading from Fatehgarh Sahib to Ambala will have to travel via Landran, Airport Chowk, Mohali, and Derabassi to reach Ambala.

Police made security arrangements
There will also be an option to reach Ambala via Ghanaur from Rajpura. Those heading to Ambala from Patiala will also have to take the Ghanaur route. Small vehicles from Rajpura will be able to reach Ambala via Banur, Manauli Suraj, and Lehli Lalru. Haryana and Punjab police have made extensive security arrangements in view of this protest march.

Traffic Advisory
Due to the protest march by the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha and farmer unions to Shambhu Barrier, the Rajpura-Ambala-Delhi Highway will be closed at Shambhu from 7 am to 6 pm on November 14, 2025. Alternative routes may be used. This may cause congestion in Rajpura city and the Rajpura-Zirakpur section. Police personnel will be deployed at all diversions. People are requested to cooperate with the smooth flow of traffic.

People can use these alternative routes:
Fatehgarh Sahib – Landran – Airport Chowk Mohali – Derabassi – Ambala

Rajpura-Banur – Zirakpur (Chat Lights) – Derabassi – Ambala

Rajpura – Ghanaur – Ambala Delhi Highway

Patiala – Ghanaur – Ambala Delhi Highway

Banur – Manauli Surat-Lehli – Lalru – Ambala (for small cars only)
