Police in Ludhiana, Punjab, have engaged terrorists in an encounter. This encounter took place near the Ladowal toll plaza on the Delhi-Amritsar National Highway. Two terrorists were shot in the encounter, one of whom is said to be in critical condition.
According to initial information, these terrorists were associated with the Babbar Khalsa International terror module. The investigation is ongoing. Police recovered two hand grenades, four pistols, and over 50 cartridges from the scene.
Terrorists linked to Babbar Khalsa
Ludhiana Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said, “We previously busted a terrorist module and arrested three people. Today, we received information that two terrorists linked to Babbar Khalsa International, who were working at the behest of the ISI, were nearby. We laid a trap, and in the encounter that has taken place so far, both suspects are seriously injured.”
The Police Commissioner further stated that three other accused have been arrested, one of whom is linked to Pawan, the brother of Harry, who carried out the firing at Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai. Several weapons have been recovered from the accused.

Major encounter in Amritsar too
Meanwhile, a major encounter took place in Amritsar, in which notorious gangster Harjinder Singh alias Harry was killed. He was carrying out anti-national activities at the behest of the ISI. The deceased, Harjinder Singh alias Harry, was around 32 years old and had five criminal cases registered against him in various police stations, including one in Pathankot. Harry was carrying out anti-national activities with the help of his network.
