New Delhi: A new uproar has erupted at the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). A case has emerged of the entry system installed in the central library being broken. The entry system was originally designed to allow only registered students into the library. The ABVP alleges that students affiliated with the left wing sabotaged this system.

In the 2024-25 JNUSU elections, the Left also won three of the top four positions. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) made a comeback after ten years, winning the post of Joint Secretary. Nitish Kumar (AISA) was elected President.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the student union elections on the JNU campus, a major uproar broke out during the general body meeting of the School of Social Sciences (SSS). The ABVP and left-supported student groups accused each other of violence, assault, and disrupting the democratic process.

The student union elections were scheduled for November, and numerous accusations and counter-accusations had surfaced. The ABVP alleged that a left-wing member made offensive and discriminatory remarks during the meeting. Meanwhile, AISA accused the ABVP of disrupting the general body meeting, harassing members, and physically assaulting students.
