Prashant Kishore’s Jan Suraj Party suffered a crushing defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections. The Jan Suraj Party failed to win a single seat out of Bihar’s 243 assembly seats. Following the crushing defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections, Prashant Kishore’s Jan Suraj Party on Saturday dissolved all organizational units of the party, from the Panchayat level to the state level.
New units to be established in the next month and a half
Party spokesperson Syed Masihuddin said in a statement that new units will be established in the next month and a half. He added that this decision was taken at the party’s National Council meeting held in Patna, chaired by State President Manoj Bharti.
These party leaders were present at the meeting
Party leaders, including former Sena Vice President S.K. Singh, former Union Minister Ramchandra Prasad Singh, and senior advocate Y.V. Giri, were also present at the meeting along with Prashant Kishore. The statement said that the party has assigned its senior leaders the responsibility of all 12 divisions of the state, where they will rebuild an effective and active organizational structure.
Most candidates failed to save their deposits.
This team of party leaders will hold detailed discussions to identify the reasons for the defeat and submit a report regarding leaders guilty of indiscipline or internal betrayal. The Jan Suraj Party failed to even open its account in the assembly elections, and most of its candidates failed to save their deposits.
