The final day of the Radha Rani Vivah Utsav (wedding festival) was being celebrated on Saturday evening at A-125, Pandara Road, Delhi. A three-day religious program, organized at S.P. Mani’s house, included bhajans and kirtans (devotional singing) on ​​Sunday. Around 5 PM, as the ceremony began, a green coconut suddenly fell from above, hitting the bhajan singer’s hand. More than a hundred people were present in the tent at the time. This caused panic in the tent. The situation was somehow brought under control.

60-year-old woman injured
It is reported that the situation worsened between 5:30 and 5:45 PM. Shortly after, a piece of stone fell into the tent. Before people could understand what was happening, a piece of a glass was also thrown from above, hitting 60-year-old Madhu Manocha in the face. She was seriously injured, and blood spread throughout the tent. She was immediately taken to Apollo Hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot. The forensic team also collected samples from the crime scene.

Police detain 3 people
It is being reported that there is a construction site right behind the venue, from where the stones and glass pieces are alleged to have been thrown. The police have detained three laborers working at the construction site and have started questioning them. They are also examining the CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding area. Organizer S.P. Mani says that such an attack during a religious program is spreading fear among the local residents. The victim’s family has filed a written complaint with the police, and the police are currently investigating the entire matter.
