Madhya Pradesh: A man who ran a chow mein stall in Jabalpur was murdered by miscreants following a minor dispute over adding sauce to the chow mein.

A 45-year-old man who ran a chow mein stall at Shakti Nagar Chowpatty in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, was brutally murdered. The accused continued to stab the vendor until he succumbed to his injuries. Following the incident, angry family members protested by placing the body in front of the food stall and demanding strict action against the culprits. The deceased has been identified as Monu Chakraborty.

'चाउमीन में थोड़ा और सॉस डालो...' किया इनकार तो दुकानदार के पेट में घोंपा चाकू; जबलपुर में युवक की हत्याAccording to reports, on Sunday night, Monu Chakraborty was serving chow mein to customers at his stall when a local goon, Aman Chakraborty, arrived with his associates, Tashu Yadav and Rohit Jharia. Initial information suggests that three days prior, Aman had a minor argument with Monu over adding more sauce to his chow mein. Driven by this grudge, the accused arrived at the scene and began verbally abusing Monu. When Monu tried to stop them from arguing, the three accused started assaulting him.

Protest held on the street
During the attack, the three accused knocked Monu to the ground and repeatedly stabbed him with a knife. According to eyewitnesses, the accused continued to stab him until he stopped breathing. Panic ensued at the food stall, with people running in all directions. The injured Monu was taken to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead. Following the incident, angry family members and local residents staged a protest on the street for several hours. A large number of women surrounded the intersection and blocked the road.

One accused taken into custody
After the incident, the Garha police station arrived at the scene and registered a case of murder. According to CSP Ashish Jain, one accused, Rohit Jharia, has been taken into custody, while Aman Chakraborty and Tashu Yadav are absconding. Three police teams are continuously conducting raids to apprehend them. The role of a third person, Nandu Tiwari, whose name was mentioned by the family members, is also being investigated.

The police have also clarified that it is unclear how one of the accused, Rohit Jharia, sustained a knife wound. There is no clear evidence of his injury in the videos or from witness accounts. Therefore, the police are verifying this aspect separately. The police said that the past criminal records of the accused are also being investigated.
