In a rally organized by the Congress party in New Delhi, serious allegations were leveled against the BJP, the central government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Election Commission. The rally featured accusations from leaders and raised the issue of alleged vote rigging.

At a large rally organized by the Congress party in New Delhi on December 14, serious allegations were leveled against the BJP, the central government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Election Commission. Congress leaders said that instead of demanding an investigation into alleged irregularities in the electoral process and vote rigging, the BJP appears to be supporting the Election Commission, which is a cause for concern for democracy.

The significance of this rally is further heightened because the Congress is portraying it as a fight to save democracy and the Constitution, from Parliament to the streets. Leaders claimed that the public is now beginning to understand the alleged conspiracy and is becoming aware of the issue.

Allegations by Leaders and the Issue of Vote Rigging
Congress leader Jaywardhan Singh said that a large number of people attended the rally to listen to Rahul Gandhi. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi has recently exposed the BJP’s modus operandi, vote rigging, and alleged manipulation of voter lists, which has made people realize that the Constitution is being undermined.

He stated that voters’ rights are being snatched away through the power of money, and this is a direct attack on the soul of democracy. He also alleged that the Election Commission is not functioning independently and has lost its impartiality under pressure from the Prime Minister, which is an unfortunate situation for the country.

Clarification on Democracy, Constitution, and Slogans
Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari, responding to alleged derogatory slogans against Prime Minister Modi, said that it was a rumor spread by the BJP. He clarified that patriotic slogans like Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai were raised at the rally. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the Constitution granted the greatest right to the people – the right to vote – and that all governments over the past 70 years have contributed to protecting democracy.

He alleged that now, for the first time, questions are being raised about the selling of democracy and vote rigging. Congress MP Kumari Selja and leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda also said that the Ramlila Maidan rally sent a message that the Congress will not allow the Constitution to be weakened and will continue its struggle to protect democracy.

Varsha Gaikwad’s Statement and the Direction of the Movement
Congress MP Varsha Gaikwad, in a conversation with IANS, said that this movement is continuing from Parliament to the streets, and if the electoral process has been tampered with, the Congress will fight against it. She said that the BJP fights for power, while the Congress is fighting to protect the Constitution and democracy. She also stated that the Congress is preparing to send a letter to the President with signatures from the public to bring the truth to light.

Varsha Gaikwad questioned why, when such serious allegations are being leveled against the Election Commission, an impartial investigation is not being conducted, and why BJP ministers, MPs, and the Prime Minister are standing in its support. She termed it a major conspiracy. Congress leader Virendra Singh said that vote theft has become the biggest issue in the country, and people fear that their right to vote might be taken away. Therefore, the public is being made aware, and they are also receiving support.
