A total of 359 players were shortlisted for the IPL 2026 auction, with the majority being uncapped Indian players. Of the 77 players sold in the auction, 40 were uncapped players, including 39 uncapped Indian players. Looking at the top 5 most expensive uncapped Indian players in the IPL auction, Kartik Sharma and Prashant Veer jointly hold the first position, with CSK spending ₹14.20 crore each on them. Besides Kartik Sharma and Prashant Veer, the third most expensive uncapped Indian player in the IPL 2026 auction was fast bowler Auqib Nabi, who plays for Jammu and Kashmir in domestic cricket. He had listed himself at a base price of ₹30 lakh. Delhi Capitals spent ₹8.4 crore to acquire Aaqib Nabi. Fourth on the list is Mangesh Yadav, an all-rounder who plays for Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket and will represent the defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2026 season. RCB spent ₹5.2 crore to secure his services. Fifth on the list is wicketkeeper-batsman Tejaswi Singh Dahiya, who plays for Delhi in domestic cricket and will be a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders team in IPL 2026. Tejaswi, who entered the auction with a base price of ₹30 lakh, was bought by KKR for ₹3 crore.
