Himanta Biswa Sarma on Bharat Jodo Yatra: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has once again attacked Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, CM Sarma said that he had started ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ but now it has become ‘Congress Todo Yatra’. Sarma also described his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ as ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’.
CM Sarma also said that Congress has 25 MLAs in Assam. Of these, on Wednesday (February 14), two Congress MLAs Kamalaksh De Purkayastha and Basant Das are extremely impressed by the public welfare policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has decided to support these policies of PM Modi.
‘Congress MLAs will serve the public together with the government’
He said that PM Modi is working with a resolve to make India a world leader. Sarma claimed that Congress MLAs have pledged to support the work of PM Modi and the Assam government. These two Congress MLAs will now serve the public together with the government.
Two MLAs are already supporting the government
Earlier, two of the 25 MLAs of Assam Congress, Shashi Kant Das and Siddiq Ahmed, have also pledged to work together with PM Modi and the Assam government. He said that after the coming together of two Congress MLAs, their number has now increased to 4 who have joined our development journey. He expressed hope that the remaining 21 Congress MLAs will also join us soon.
