Punjab Crime: In Tarn Taran, a young woman was shot dead in broad daylight by motorcycle-borne assailants. Police have launched a search for the culprits based on CCTV footage.

A shocking incident has come to light in Tarn Taran district of Punjab. An unknown assailant on a motorcycle opened fire on a young woman standing by the roadside near the Rasulpur canal. The woman died on the spot. The incident occurred in broad daylight, causing panic and fear throughout the area.

According to eyewitnesses, the young woman was standing by the roadside when suddenly two or three young men on motorcycles arrived. Without saying a word, they shot the woman and quickly fled the scene. The woman fell to the ground after being shot and was seriously injured. People nearby immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared her dead upon arrival.

Police launch investigation
Upon receiving information about the incident, Tarn Taran police teams immediately reached the spot. The police cordoned off the area and began their investigation. Bullet casings and other evidence were collected from the crime scene. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being reviewed to identify the attackers and trace their motorcycle’s license plate number.

Woman’s murder linked to love affair dispute
Police officials say that the initial investigation suggests the case is related to a personal feud, a love affair, or an old dispute. However, all possibilities are being investigated thoroughly.

The woman’s identity has not yet been established, but according to local residents, she was a resident of the area. The news of her death has caused immense grief among her family and relatives. There is an atmosphere of anger and fear among the people in the entire area. Many have demanded that the police apprehend the culprits quickly.

Accused will be arrested soon – SSP
The police have stated that special teams have been formed to search for the attackers. Raids are being conducted in the areas around the canal and in nearby villages. The SSP of Tarn Taran has assured that the accused will be arrested soon and that the case is being investigated thoroughly. Additional police forces have been deployed in the area to enhance security. The police and administration are investigating the matter seriously at every level to ensure that the culprits are apprehended as soon as possible.
