President Trump alleged that these terrorists were brutally targeting and killing innocent Christians. He said that the level of violence was unprecedented in many years, even centuries. According to Trump, he had previously warned these terrorists that there would be serious consequences if the killings of Christians did not stop.

Trump wrote in his message, “I had previously warned these terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughter of Christians, they would pay a heavy price, and that’s exactly what happened tonight.”
US Military Carries Out Perfect Strikes
According to the president, the U.S. carried out several precise airstrikes in this military operation. He said the U.S. Department of Defense carried out the action. Trump wrote, “The Department of War carried out several perfect strikes, something only the United States of America can do.”
Tough Stance Against Terrorism
Trump said this action demonstrates his tough stance against terrorism. He wrote, “Under my leadership, our country will not allow radical Islamic terrorism to flourish.” He also praised the U.S. military and extended Christmas greetings, saying, “God bless our military and Merry Christmas to all, even the dead terrorists.” Meanwhile, the US Africa Command (US AFRICOM) stated that the operation against ISIS in Sokoto, Nigeria (referred to as “Soboto” in AFRICOM’s statement), was conducted at the request of Nigerian authorities.
