Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to be in aggressive mode for the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. The round of meetings has started and the names of the candidates are being finalized. Meanwhile, the meeting of the party’s Central Election Committee (CEC) started at around 11 pm and continued till 03:20 am i.e. the brainstorming took place for four and a half hours. According to information received from sources, the names of many candidates from 16 states have been approved in the CEC meeting. BJP can release the first list of candidates today.
First of all, there was brainstorming on the candidates from Uttar Pradesh, the state with the highest number of Lok Sabha seats in the country. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present in this meeting. The Central Election Committee discussed the candidates of UP for about 25 minutes. After UP, now the names of candidates from West Bengal were discussed. According to sources, discussions have taken place on all 42 seats. After this, all the Lok Sabha seats of Chhattisgarh were discussed in the meeting. BJP can announce candidates for four Lok Sabha seats of Chhattisgarh today.
Special strategy made for Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat
There was also discussion on the candidates from Telangana in the CEC meeting. There is news that BJP can give tickets to three sitting MPs again this time. After this, discussion took place on all the seats of West Bengal and Kerala. Today it is possible to announce the names of candidates for 5-6 of these seats. The seats of Rajasthan were also discussed. During this, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and both the Deputy CMs were present. In Jammu and Kashmir, only the seats of Jammu region were discussed. There was discussion on state president Ravindra Raina contesting the elections. Raina can contest elections from Rajouri Anantnag seat.
Now let us talk about Madhya Pradesh. All the seats of Madhya Pradesh were also discussed in the Central Election Committee meeting. According to sources, a special strategy was made regarding Chhindwara. Apart from Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, former CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia were also present in this meeting. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya were present in the meeting regarding Gujarat. All the seats of Gujarat were discussed in the meeting.
Candidates from which 16 states were discussed?
The 16 states whose Lok Sabha candidates were brainstormed by the BJP Central Election Committee include Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Assam, Goa, Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir. . At the same time, if sources are to be believed, about 40 percent candidates of Assam will be changed. Sarbananda Sonowal will contest from Dibrugarh, Union Minister Rameshwar Teli’s name has been deleted from Dibrugarh. The party can send Rameshwar Teli to Rajya Sabha. Congress Central Election Committee meeting next week
Congress has also started preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. The screening process of more than half a dozen states has been completed. Screening has been done in almost all the states of Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and North East. Only the names of the candidates are yet to be announced. There will be a meeting of the Central Election Committee of Congress next week, in which the names of the candidates can be approved.
