Jammu Kashmir: A house collapsed due to landslide in Chasana village of Mahor sub division of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, woman and children sleeping inside died.

Jammu and Kashmir: Rain continues in many districts of Jammu and Kashmir for the last 24 hours. Landslides due to rain have also started causing havoc. The latest case has come to light from Reasi district. Where a landslide occurred in Chasana village of Mahor sub division. A house collapsed due to the landslide, killing a 2-month-old baby, his mother and two other children who were sleeping inside. Reasi Deputy Commissioner Special Paul Mahajan has given information regarding the incident.

Rain and snowfall continues to wreak havoc in Jammu and Kashmir. Due to which incidents of landslides and avalanches are being reported from many places in the state. A house collapsed due to a landslide in Chasana village, resulting in the death of a woman and her three children, while two people are said to be injured.

Jammu-Srinagar National Highway closed for the second day
The information has been given by Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police. Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remains closed for the second consecutive day due to landslide in Dhalwas area of Ramban district. There is debris lying on the road due to landslide. Along with this, the rainy season continues in the plains.

Rain alert in other states of the country today
The Meteorological Department has today issued an alert of rain and hail in 46 cities of Haryana. Along with this, there is also a possibility of strong winds blowing at the speed of 60 to 70 kilometers. An alert has been issued regarding cloud cover as well as lightning in 20 districts of Madhya Pradesh including Gwalior-Rewa. Apart from Jammu and Kashmir, an alert of heavy rain and snowfall has also been issued in Ladakh, Himachal and Uttarakhand. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some parts of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and UP.
