New Delhi: A child has fallen into a 40-feet deep borewell inside the Delhi Jal Board plant and near Keshopur Mandi. Delhi Fire Service, NDRF and Delhi Police have reached the spot. The operation to save the child is going on. Delhi Fire Service has given this information.
A child fell into a 40 feet deep borewell near Keshopur Mandi, Delhi. The matter is of Jal Board plant. There was a commotion as soon as the child fell into the borewell. Police, NDRF and fire department were immediately informed about this. The teams that reached the spot have started the rescue operation of the child.
Last December, a child had fallen into a borewell in MP too.
In December 2023, a 5-year-old child had fallen into a borewell in Alirajpur, Madhya Pradesh. This child was trapped in a 20 feet deep borewell. Although the rescue team took him out, his life could not be saved. This rescue operation went on for about four and a half hours. But he had already died. Actually, this child had fallen into a borewell covered with a sack while playing in Khandala. The incident happened so suddenly that he could not be caught. On receiving information about the incident, the administration team immediately arrived and the rescue operation was started. But the child could not be saved.

The NDRF team said that preparations are being made to dig another borewell parallel to the borewell. The depth of the borewell is 40-feet and it can be very difficult to take out a child from inside it. The NDRF team may take a long time to dig the new borewell. About 50 feet excavation will be done with JCB near the borewell. Then the child will be taken out from the borewell by cutting the pipe.
Attempt to take the child out with rope failed
On the other hand, a video of the rescue of a child from a borewell has also surfaced. In this it can be seen how the local people are helping the NDRF team identify the borewell. It is being told that a rope was also used to pull out the child. Earlier it was thought that with its help the child would be taken out. But the attempt failed. It is very dark inside the borewell. An attempt is being made to see the child through the torch.
Constant efforts are also being made to talk to him. So that he does not feel uncomfortable. The rescue team is trying hard to bring out the child safely. On the other hand, the child’s family members are in bad condition and crying.
