A major accident took place in Borivali, Mumbai. Here on Tuesday, three laborers died when a part of the scaffolding of an under-construction building collapsed, while the condition of one person is critical. Officials said the incident took place at Kalpana Chawla Chowk in Soni Wadi area at around 1 pm.

A Municipal Corporation official said that some part of the scaffolding located on the 16th floor of the 24-storey building under construction collapsed, injuring four workers. They were taken to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali, where three of the laborers were declared dead by doctors, while the condition of the fourth victim is critical.

The officer said that after receiving information about the accident, fire department personnel reached the spot with two fire vehicles. Along with this, Municipal Corporation personnel and police officers also reached there.
