UP Rape Case:A case of brutality against a pregnant woman has come to light in Pratapgarh, UP. The incident happened with the pregnant wife of a councillor late on Thursday evening. It is alleged that the brutes had inserted an iron rod in the woman’s private part.
Seeing her critical condition, the victim has been referred to the women’s hospital from CHC Sandwa Chandrika. The victim’s brother-in-law has retired from the army. On the other hand, the police are calling this incident minor and saying that the woman was injured due to stone pelting. The councillor says that his opponents were forcibly carrying out construction on the disputed land. An MP himself had visited the spot and started this construction a day before. When the opponents started construction on Thursday, he informed the Gadwara outpost in-charge. The outpost in-charge reached the spot and stopped the work. Even after this, people were repeatedly starting work and the outpost in-charge had to come to the spot several times to stop it.
According to the councillor, on Thursday evening around 7:30, when his pregnant wife went out of the house to get wood, four people present there in the dark caught her. The accused gang-raped her. Bleeding started due to inserting a rod in her private part and the condition worsened. After informing the police, he took her to the CHC. From there she was referred to the women’s hospital. Her bleeding had not stopped till late night.
Pratapgarh CO City Shivnarayan Vaish says that there was a dispute between the two parties regarding land. The woman had gone to collect wood in the dark. It has been learnt that she was injured there after someone threw a stone at her. Whatever other allegations are there, they are being investigated.
