Arvind Kejriwal is currently behind bars in the Delhi liquor scam case. Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal has demanded 5 legal meetings in jail. In this regard, ED said that the only reason for seeking a legal meeting is that Arvind Kejriwal is finding it difficult to run the government from jail. ED said that as CM, he has conveyed the message to other AAP ministers through his lawyers. ED said that the CM cannot have full right to meet his lawyer. Let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal is currently running the government from jail.
Arvind Kejriwal demanded from the court
Kejriwal demanded a legal meeting and said that he cannot be treated like a person against whom only one case is registered. There are more than 30 cases registered against Kejriwal in 6 different states. In this regard, Kejriwal’s lawyer said that we are not demanding any relief, we are demanding an additional meeting with the lawyers in the cases which are going on in the courts. Kejriwal’s lawyer said in the court that if the investigating agency has objection to the meeting then they should also oppose the two legal meetings.
ED opposed Kejriwal’s demand
Arvind Kejriwal’s lawyer said that the investigating agency is opposing the five legal meetings only on the basis of possibility. In this regard, ED said that even as per jail rules, five legal meetings cannot be allowed. ED further said that generally only one legal meeting is allowed. Two legal meetings are allowed only on special occasions. ED said that Kejriwal wants to run the government from inside the jail. Legal meetings can be misused for other things.
