NDMC will take care of 1.80 lakh trees with the help of tree ambulance. By using this, trees will be made free from diseases, insects and termites etc. Tree ambulance will also provide new life to the hollow trunks of trees through surgery and treatment of trees.

This is how trees will get life
Under this scheme, surgery of trees will be done in New Delhi area. The process starts with removing the infected or hollow part of the tree, cleaning it with a brush, washing it properly, applying insecticides, fungicides on the infected part and filling the hollow trunk with an inert material like foam and covering it with chicken net. . This process also includes sealing it etc.

Tree ambulance is equipped with these facilities
NDMC has used an eco-friendly CNG based vehicle to make the tree ambulance. On which a high pressure pump with jetting pump has also been installed along with two water tanks with the capacity to store 750 liters and 250 liters of water. There is a provision to carry many equipment, insecticides, fungicides and fungicides etc.

Trained staff will be deployed on tree ambulance
The team at Tree Ambulance has dedicated and trained staff to check the health of trees and attend to complaints or reports received from field staff related to trees needing treatment, washing of trees, insect infestation, hollow or drying trees on a regular basis. Will be deployed.
