The petition seeking arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be heard in the Supreme Court on April 15. Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta will hear the case. Delhi High Court had justified the arrest of Kejriwal. After this decision of the High Court, Kejriwal had approached the Supreme Court. Kejriwal had filed a petition in the apex court against the ED arrest. Kejriwal has called ED’s arrest illegal. Let us tell you that Delhi High Court did not give relief to Kejriwal on April 10.
Delhi High Court had justified Kejriwal’s arrest. The High Court had said in its order that the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal is not illegal. This was the only means available to ED to include him in the investigation. He was repeatedly issued summons for more than 6 months and asked to appear but he did not comply. This was the biggest reason for his arrest.
Law is one for all… Kejriwal’s arrest is right – HC
The High Court had said that there is no separate law for the common man or any Chief Minister. Law is same for everyone. Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma said in his order that the issue of whether the arrest was illegal or not should be decided not by political rhetoric but by application of the law, within the ambit of the law.
Kejriwal was arrested on March 21
Let us tell you that ED had arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on March 21 in the money laundering case related to liquor scam. After this, on April 1, he was sent to judicial custody for 15 days. He is currently lodged in Tihar Jail of Delhi. Kejriwal was not satisfied with the decision of the High Court. He challenged this decision in the apex court.
At the same time, now the Supreme Court will hear this matter on April 15. In such a situation, it has to be seen whether Kejriwal gets relief from the Supreme Court or not.
Sukesh wrote a letter, said- I will make a big disclosure
Meanwhile, gangster Sukesh Chandshekhar, lodged in Tihar Jail, has written another letter, in which he has mentioned about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Satyendra Jain and Kailash Gehlot. In this letter he has claimed that he will soon make a big revelation and bring out the e-chats. He has written that this will be revealed regarding the deal worth Rs 50 crore. Also, in the letter, Jail Superintendent Dhananjay Rawat has been accused of putting pressure on him so that Sukesh is not able to leak any evidence against the Aam Aadmi Party.
