Delhi: After the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on one hand, Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers are continuously protesting against his arrest. AAP leaders allege that BJP has arrested them as part of a conspiracy. On the other hand, BJP has been continuously demanding the resignation of CM Arvind Kejriwal since his arrest. BJP is also protesting against AAP and CM Kejriwal.
In this sequence, on Saturday, under the leadership of Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, a series of demonstrations were started at the offices of Aam Aadmi Party MLAs demanding Kejriwal’s resignation.
Demonstration at Krishna Nagar MLA office
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva started the party’s campaign with a protest outside the office of the Krishna Nagar MLA in East Delhi. While party workers protested at major intersections of Shahdara assembly constituency of East Delhi. Mayur Vihar District BJP President Vijendra Dhama led the demonstration at the office of Patparganj MLA Manish Sisodia. While party workers also demonstrated at MLA offices in Trilokpuri, Kondli and Jangpura.
Chandni Chowk District BJP President Sardar Kuldeep Singh along with local councilor Vikesh Sethi led the demonstration at the office of MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi in Model Town. While the workers demonstrated at the offices of Ballimaran MLA at Idgah and Chandni Chowk MLA on Rajpur Road. Similarly, in Keshavpuram, Virendra Goyal led the demonstration at the office of Wazirpur MLA. Party workers protested at the offices of AAP MLAs in Trinagar, Shakurbasti and Adarsh Nagar assembly constituencies.
Protest will continue till resignation
On this series of protests, Virendra Sachdeva said that if Aam Aadmi Party has to rule Delhi then Arvind Kejriwal will have to resign. He said, what is the compulsion of AAP leaders that they have to accept a corrupt person as their Chief Minister? He further said that the main accused in the liquor scam, Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail, and his entire party, do not like talking about the Constitution. The people of Delhi are disappointed with Kejriwal’s government and they will ensure that the protests at the offices of AAP MLAs will continue until Kejriwal resigns.
